big, loud feelings

Alyssa Joseph is here to share her big loud feelings. Born in South Jersey and residing in Nashville, Joseph is unapologetically paving her lane as a woman in indie rock. Drawing artistic influence from Sharon Van Etten and Angie McMahon, Joseph’s songs cut deep— unflinchingly honest, achingly relatable, and deeply introspective. Beyond her personal project, Joseph is a passionate vegan devoted to gardening and building community through her DIY music space.

Following the release of her debut album guts, Joseph found a creative partner in producer Jared Corder (of *repeat, repeat and Polychrome Studios) with whom she crafted the 2024 existential alt-rock anthem “another year.” Now Joseph’s back with her high-energy new single “I wanna feel good.” This fake-it-til-you-make-it manifesto finds its singer teetering between conquering her own self-doubt and being buried by it. The title line serves as both the song’s hook and its verse. Either way you hear it, the track has an undeniable swagger which, paired with its airtight construction and radio-ready rhythms, might just make it the most unexpected feel good song of the summer.

Watch Alyssa and her band perform “I wanna feel good” on WSMV Channel 4’s Today in Nashville.
